Summary, etc	Ante el enorme cambio demográfico, social y cultural, el profesional de enfermería debe buscar el modelo de cuidados más acorde para una sociedad cada vez más pluricultural. Al modelo elegido debe añadir los conceptos de transculturalidad, de la teoría de la diversidad y la universalidad de los cuidados. Por todo ello el presente trabajo analiza las diferentes perspectivas en el marco teórico del proceso de cuidados, realizando un repaso de los puntos más importantes de la enfermería transcultural y su fundadora, Madeleine Leininger. El profesional de enfermería debe comprender mejor las creencias, prácticas y problemas de salud propios de personas procedentes de otras culturas.
